Our evening class takes place in the cozy yoga room at the WIC. This room comfortably accommodates up to 10 people, features wood laminate flooring, and has plenty of open wall space. These details matter because thisfloor lets us incorporate chairs into our practice (and chair yoga is not sleepy yoga), while the walls support a variety of poses. Many standing and balance poses can be adapted using the wall, making them more accessible and allowing us to experience the full benefits of each pose.

In the evening classes, we come to movement practice more quickly than I usually do in morning classes. We develop our poses in a nuanced way that the smaller space supports. Then we have a nice chill Restorative phase before heading home for the night.
