Why 90 minutes? In recent years, yoga classes have become shorter and shorter with most classes now lasting one hour. What’s the beauty of a longer session?

  • Deeper practice: A longer yoga class allows you to dive deeper into your practice, with more time to explore each pose and transition between them. This will help improve your alignment, build strength and flexibility, and enhance your mind-body connection.
  • Relaxation: Yoga is a great way to relieve stress and tension, and a longer class gives you more time to relax and let go. Longer classes will include more Restorative poses at the end of class, which can help you release tension and cultivate a sense of calm and well-being.
  • Community: Longer yoga classes often create a stronger sense of community and connection among participants, as people have more time to interact and share their experiences. This can be especially important if you are looking for support and encouragement in your yoga practice.

Classes will be structured like mini workshops with a clear focus for each class. Here’s a preview for the first three classes (topics subject to change) :

April 8Twist and Squish – A cleansing practice for Spring focusing on twists, folds and breathing. Read more about the Science of Squishing
May 13Strong and Balanced – What is the relationship between strength and balance? We will focus on developing strength from the feet up through our core while keeping a clam, steady mind which supports balance
June 10The Heart Takes Flight – Heart openers as we launch into summer. Building on our strong foundation, we will focus on upper body mobility and strength. Shoulder & chest openness team up with a strong back allow our heart center to fly.
